What is the housing market like in the Omaha, Bellevue and Papillion area? The local market has remained relatively stable compared to the rest of the country. Overall housing prices have remained steady and Omaha has not seen huge dips in asking prices. Homes continue to sell on average for 97% of the listing price. There are of course exceptions, some sell for more or less. But statistics show this is the average. In the metro area, the homes for sale range from turn of the century charmers to new construction. The military first brought them to Offutt and they stayed in the Bellevue area because it felt like home. Bellevue maintains a close knit community feel, top notch schools, several restaurants and close proximity to downtown Omaha attractions. Bellevue is the oldest city in Nebraska, home of Offutt Air Force Base, and Fontenelle Forest. There are many different styles of existing homes for sale in Bellevue ranging from suburban neighborhoods with 2 story, ranch, tri-level, split level homes, a few in town acreages, and acreages on the outskirts. Old Towne Bellevue will have early 1900-1960’s homes that are lower priced and often a good value. The new construction homes for sale in Bellevue, NE currently consist of track built homes starting in the $130,000 range, and more custom built homes starting near the $250,000 range.
